Perhaps it is because I have a writer's heart, but knowing that Jesus is The Word, speaks to me in a way I can't quite explain.
John's Gospel begins by telling us that Jesus is the embodiment of God's presence with us, his people.
Jesus is Emmanuel, God with us.
Jesus is the word made flesh.
In him was life, and that life was the light of men... (John 1: 4)
